"I never understood the "dream car" when referencing relatively mundane basic cars.
The Baja Bug isn't really exclusive or rare or anything. So it is a bit strange."
Dear Toby,
The worth of a dream is not measured in carbon fiber, dollars, and 0-60 times.
But merely that feeling when you release the clutch, ease on the gas, and the world feels at peace.....Or roars gloriously at your whim.

Its not like you see original VW bugs on every street corner now, technically they are "classics" in this day and age...
Its not like Orlove is driving a "new beetle" with the fucking flower vase on the dash.
I think some people in the jalopisphere, going by the comments section, have lost their way.

I have not read the article, and I know exactly who you are talking about. Just ignore him and move on with life.

I find it worth commenting on cause you know he's not the only one who would say the same thing. Which I guess is actually worse then ignorant trolls in some ways.

Well I responded. Not quite the tact and grace that you showed, but, as they say, YOLO.

I agree entirely. Right now my dream vehicle is a late 90s Ford F350 power stroke SRW CCLB
